PRIVACY POLICY

This page is used to inform you of our policies with respect to the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information when you use the application named Morning Self (the “App”). This App is provided by Nikki Ray Media Agency (“Nikki Ray”, “we” or “us”).

Throughout this Privacy Policy references to “you”, “your” and “User” refers to the user who uses the App.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use, available at morningselfapp.com/terms, unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Morning Self is a journalling and reflection app. To work, it necessarily stores what you write. This policy explains what we collect, why, who else is involved, and what control you have.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name and email address, and a password which is stored in encrypted form by our authentication provider. If you sign in with Apple or Google we receive the account identifier and email address they provide.

Your entries. This is the heart of the App and the most sensitive information we hold. It includes the reflections, journal entries, goals, intentions, moods, gratitude notes and characteristics you record in your morning and evening sessions, together with the dates on which you recorded them and the coaching feedback generated for you.

Preferences and settings. Your reminder schedules and times, your chosen practices and their order, your appearance and self-talk settings, and your opt-in choices and communication preferences.

Subscription information. Whether you hold an active subscription, and its status and renewal dates. Payment is processed by Apple or Google; we never receive your card details.

Usage and technical information. Anonymous events such as opening the App, signing in, or completing onboarding, together with device and app version information and crash or error reports. These do not contain the content of your entries.

Correspondence. Anything you send us, such as support requests.

How We Use Your Information

We use this information to provide the App and the features you use: to store and display your entries, to generate coaching, to send the reminders you have asked for, to maintain your subscription, to respond to you, to diagnose faults, and to understand in aggregate how the App is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your information. We do not use your entries for advertising, and we do not show advertising in the App.

AI Coaching

The App offers optional AI coaching. It is on unless you disable it, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings. The rest of the App works without it.

When AI coaching is enabled, the entries you write — your reflections, goals, moods and journal text — are sent to the AI provider you select so that it can write your coaching. You can choose between Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT) and Google (Gemini). Claude is the default.

We do not send your name, email address or account identifier to these providers. They receive the content of your entries and nothing that identifies you to us.

These providers process your entries only to generate that response and return it to us. Your entries are not used to train their models, and we do not use them to train any model of our own.

If you would prefer that your entries never leave the App for this purpose, keep AI coaching turned off.

Service Providers

We use a small number of companies to run Morning Self. They may handle your information only to perform their function for us, and they are obligated not to use it for any other purpose:

● Supabase — hosts your account and your entries.

● Anthropic, OpenAI or Google — generate AI coaching from your entries, only when AI coaching is enabled, and only as described above.

● SparkPost — sends your reminder emails. It receives your email address and the goals included in that reminder.

● RevenueCat, with Apple or Google — manage subscriptions and process payment.

● Sentry — receives crash and error reports so we can fix faults.

● Amplitude — receives anonymous usage events, such as opening the App or finishing onboarding. It never receives the content of your entries.

● Expo — delivers app updates.

Where Your Information Is Processed

We are based in Canada. Several of the providers above store or process information in the United States and other countries. Where information is held outside Canada it may be accessible to the courts, law enforcement and national security authorities of that country under its laws.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your entries for as long as your account exists, so that the App can show you your history and so that coaching can reflect your longer-term patterns.

You can delete your account from within the App, in Settings. Deleting your account removes your account record and your entries from our systems. Copies may persist in routine backups for a limited period before being overwritten.

You can also contact us at info@nikkiraymedia.com to request deletion, or to ask what information we hold about you.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to give you access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is inaccurate, or to delete it. You may withdraw your consent to our use of your information, though some features will not work without it. You may turn off AI coaching at any time in Settings, and you may turn off reminder emails and notifications.

To exercise any of these, contact us at info@nikkiraymedia.com.

Children

The App is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

The App itself does not use cookies. Where the App displays one of our web pages, such as this policy, that page may use cookies as described on our website.

Security

We have policies and procedures in place to protect the privacy and confidentiality of your information that we have access to. Information is encrypted in transit between the App and our systems, and is encrypted at rest by our hosting provider. Access to production systems is limited to those who need it.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

This policy is effective as of 2026-07-29.
